Pump Testing Facilities

We have two comprehensive pump performance test facilities.
Bollington Indoor test facility - up to 600m3/hr
Adlington Outdoor test facility - up to 36,000m3/hr (10,000 l/sec)

Both test facilities are fully equipped for measurement of:-.


Flow rate Pressure Motor power Speed Temperature Noise  Vibration

Hydrostatic and NPSH testing is also undertaken at both sites.

The Adlington test facility is serviced by a 40 tonne crane giving us the ability to handle even the largest pump units.

Tests can be carried out to the following standards:

ISO 2548: 1973 BS5316 Part 1 1976 
Specification for acceptance tests for centrifugal mixed flow and axial pumps

– Class C tests

ISO 3555:1977 BS5316 Part 2 1977
Specification for acceptance tests for centrifugal mixed flow and axial pumps

– Class B tests

Interpretation of raw data can be as required by the above standards or to other codes e.g. API 610, client’s in-house codes etc.

Client or third party witnessing of tests is welcomed.

Our digital instrumentation covers a wide range of measurement, with traceable calibration certification.

Testing of client’s pumps for performance verification or up-grading, can be carried out.

All test procedures are documented and certification documentation provided.
